Same Mission — Expanded Vision

For the past ten years, TechNoSin has represented a ministry directed toward the technology culture. We have challenged children, teenagers and adults to honor God in a world of screens, and to avoid the moral dangers that often accompany technology.

The ministry began with a simple burden: People were increasingly bowing their heads—not in prayer, but toward their screens. We felt compelled to challenge this culture with Biblical truth, and point people toward Jesus Christ.

Over time, that burden grew broader. God enabled us to produce Gospel pamphlets addressing the tech, dating, parenting, sports, political, religious, party, Muslim, Jewish, rainbow and other cultures. Each message begins with something familiar and directs people toward the Cross of Jesus Christ.

The ministry has become more than a message about technology. It has become an effort to take the Gospel to EVERY culture around us.

For that reason, TechNoSin is becoming Cross2Culture. Our calling is to carry the unchanging truth of the Cross into an ever-changing world.

We are grateful for everything the name TechNoSin has represented. It remains an important part of our history, and the challenge of digital purity will continue as an essential part of the ministry. We now move forward under a name that more fully represents the work God has given us to do:

Cross 2 Culture

Could this effort INSPIRE YOU to reach a particular culture near you?

How may we help you reach your “Jerusalem” — the specific cultures which you connect with on a daily basis?

The Ministry Continues

A New Website

Cross2Culture.org

An Effective Witnessing Tool

Designed to help Christians share the Gospel. Website visitors can:

  • View our many culturally relevant Gospel pamphlets.
  • Order printed pamphlets for personal evangelism.
  • Share these digital Gospel messages with others electronically.
  • Watch videos which feature a clear Gospel presentation and demonstrate how to use each pamphlet to begin a conversation with someone from that culture.

Our prayer is that Cross2Culture.org will place practical Gospel resources into the hands of everyday Christians and help us become more confident, faithful witnesses for Christ.

A Clear Mission

SALVATION: To point each eternal soul to the Cross of Jesus– for our eternal destiny

SANCTIFICATION: To point each delivered soul to the holy Character of Jesus– particularly in our digital world

THE LOCAL CHURCH: To point each maturing soul to the Church of Jesus– To unite with or help establish a Bible-practicing assembly of believers for discipleship and fulfillment of our Lord’s commands (Matthew 28:18-20)

“MAY I SHARE SOME HOPE WITH YOU?”

Holding out the HOPE tract

In Phillipsburg, NJ, this past June, HOPE DAY gave opportunity to create the HOPE TRACT and the HOPE T-Shirt as an effective witnessing tool. (view at Cross2Culture.org)

Thousands of HOPE tracts were printed and distributed at several events.

The message is clear and simple:

  1. We live in a world of HOPELESSNESS
  2. The BIBLE offers real HOPE
  3. JESUS is our living HOPE
The HOPE T-shirt: There is HOPE in Jesus

With a simple gesture . . .

“MAY I SHARE SOME HOPE WITH YOU?”

A Gospel conversation can be started and eternal impact can be made.

The Real Football Gospel pamphlet

This past summer, the world came together for the World Cup—and Cross2Culture was there with the Gospel!

To prepare for this evangelistic opportunity, my grandson Ben and I wrote and printed “The Real Football” Gospel pamphlet in three languages: ENGLISH • SPANISH • FRENCH (view at Cross2Culture.org)

Using the world’s most popular sport, the pamphlet introduces the world’s most important message: the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

We distributed this Gospel message and ministered among World Cup fans in Trenton, New Jersey; Times Square in New York City; and at a Watch Party for the Final in Paterson, New Jersey.

People from many backgrounds and nations gathered around a shared interest in football. It was a natural opportunity to meet people, begin conversations and place the Gospel into their hands in a language they could understand.

Please pray for the thousands who received “The Real Football.” The World (Cup) came to our doorstep for a few days, but the Word of God continues working long after the final whistle.

This First C2C Update Dedication is . . .

In Loving Memory of Pastor Derek Claypool

“The road to a friend’s house is never long.” Yet for me now . . . it is “forever long” because this past June, my dear friend Pastor Derek Claypool entered his eternal rest.

Derek and I shared a friendship in ministry of more than 50 years. From those early days until his homegoing, Derek was never more than a phone call away. His friendship, counsel, encouragement and spiritual guidance were critical to the development of TechNoSin and its transition into Cross2Culture.

As pastor of Faith Baptist Church in Bemidji, Minnesota, Derek led his congregation to become the first local church to financially support this ministry. He offered strategic advice, listened patiently, and encouraged me whenever the road became difficult.

Humanly speaking, TechNoSin / Cross2Culture would not exist without Derek Claypool.

Derek once wrote of me . . . “He has developed well-written, relevant tracts that address diverse areas of our culture, and distributes them by the thousands.” Those words mean even more to me today because Derek did more than recommend the ministry—he helped make it possible.

I am also deeply grateful for Derek’s dear wife, Brenda. Her friendship, encouragement and faithful support have been a special blessing.

The photograph of Derek and Brenda (at left) folding a previous TechNoSin Update beautifully represents how personally they invested themselves in this work.

Derek’s earthly voice is silent, but his influence continues through every Gospel message distributed and every person pointed toward Jesus Christ. I miss my dear friend, but I rejoice that, because of Christ, our separation is only temporary.
