Wait4TheDate: Honoring Christ in Relationships

Four Zones of Healthy Relationships

Purpose

Wait4TheDate is a relational challenge designed to help singles understand what healthy, Christ-centered relationships look like.

This challenge:

  • Encourages wise, respectful, and God-honoring choices
  • Supports singles preparing for future relationships
  • Reinforces values already taught by concerned individuals
  • Points singles toward purity, clarity, and purpose

Parents remain the primary influence and support systemin every single's life.

Why A Relational Challenge?

Singles are given guidance in school, sports, driving, and in many aspects of life — but often very little direction when it comes to dating.

Yet relationships can shape:

  • Emotional health
  • Academic focus
  • Future decisions — even lifelong ones

This challenge provides structure, clarity, and encouragement in one of the most important areas of life.

Real Challenges Teens Face

Today's singles often deal with:

  • Anxiety, stress, and low self-worth
  • Lack of clear boundaries
  • Emotional pressure and heartbreak
  • Distractions that affect education and focus

Unhealthy relationships can increase confusion and pain. Healthy choices can lead to confidence, peace, and purpose.

What If?

What if singles:

  • Made wiser relationship choices?
  • Experienced less drama and heartbreak?
  • Learned to value being single while preparing for the future?
  • Focused more clearly on their faith, growth, and goals?

The Four Zones

Singles choose one of four zones based on where they are in their journey:

Wait4TheDate: Bronze Zone (Enjoy Life), Silver Zone (couples only), Gold Zone (between relationships), and Diamond Zone (season of being single)

How It Works

  • Singles commit to their chosen zone with integrity
  • Accountability teams provide guidance and support
  • Group interaction is encouraged over one-on-one pairing
  • Boundaries are clear — removing confusion and pressure

Benefits

  • Clear expectations and boundaries
  • Reduced emotional stress and drama
